Virtual Professional Development Workshop (Leadership Cohort)

Welcome to Professional Development with Real Colors! Real Colors is not just a workshop – it is a way to communicate effectively and connect deeply with others. We are excited to continue to learn and grow together.

Real Leadership Cohort

Are you looking to develop your leadership skills? No matter where you are on your leadership journey, Real Leadership is applicable to the challenges you face and the ways you want to grow as a leader.

As part of this six-session cohort, you will:

1. Define leadership in a way that can be succinctly communicated to others.
2. Explain your leadership strengths by reflecting on your natural leadership preferences.
3. Explore, practice, and apply skills related to public speaking and active listening skills.
4. Expand your ability to empowering others, based on how they need to be motivated.
5. Create a personal leadership plan.

Activities Include:

• Defining Leadership– One can find many definitions of leadership. The group will work together to develop a single, mutually agreed upon definition of leadership to reference during the course of the workshop.
• Capitalize on Your Strengths– You will take a self-survey to evaluate your leadership skills and discuss leading from you strengths.
• Speaking to Inspire Action– This exercise will give leaders questions to ask themselves to ensure their message resonates with their audience and inspires action from the listener.
• Listening to Learn– In this activity, you will be challenged to develop you skills to more effectively receive messages, or listen actively.
• Speaking and Listening Skills in Action–  This activity gives you the opportunity to combine and apply your new speaking and listening skills.
• Empowering Others– Leaders who desire to develop others don’t hold on to power. They give it away and empower others to success. This activity is focused on knowing what the different Real Colors need to feel successful.
• Putting It All Together: Personal Leadership Plan– This culminating activity challenges you to evaluate what you have learned and develop an action plan for how to apply this learning.

Prior participation in a Real Colors Foundational Workshop is required. If you don’t know your Real Colors, start here, and then come back to keep learning.

Certificate of Completion: Contact us and we can provide a certification of completion for this workshop. Attendance at all sessions is required for completion.
