PURPOSE:
In this activity, we will look at the differences and similarities in how each color addresses change.

MATERIALS

  • Real Colors® and Change Reference Guide

  • Objects to use in activity: at least 6. Objects can be anything like a small toy, office supplies, set of keys, deck of cards, etc.

  • Flip-chart paper and markers

  • Colored markers of the four colors (ORANGE, GOLD, BLUE and GREEN) or colored sticker/ dots of the four colors

Working Together on a Project

PURPOSE:
Groups will be working together to complete a simple project to better understand the strengths each Primary Color brings to a team, the role each team member is naturally gifted at filling, and how team members may be perceived.

MATERIALS:

  • Working Together on a Project Reference Guide

  • Team Project Bags, one for each group. Suggestion: a small bag containing 10 toothpicks, one piece of 8 1⁄2 x 11” paper, a 5inch piece of string, and 4 paper clips. You can create your own project bags and include items more relevant to your environment. NOTE: each bag should contain the same amounts and kinds of materials.

  • Flip-chart paper and markers

PURPOSE:
In this activity, participants will review the natural strengths of each of the four Real Colors® in order to encourage appreciation of and respect for the differences a person’s temperament brings to a diverse workplace.

MATERIALS:

  • Real Colors® Different is Good Scenario Worksheets, one set of four for each participant

  • Real Colors® Different is Good SAMPLE Worksheets

  • Resources that describe other Color preferences such as Real Colors® Personality Instrument booklets and cards, Reference Guides from other Keep Real Colors® Alive Activities that may be useful: Real Colors® and Feedback, Working Together on a Project.
